On April 19th the A-Hill congregation of Baguio in cooperation with the operations manager of World Bible School-Philippines, Bal Lagua, Jr. conducted an enrolment campaign at Upper West Camp 7 of this city. Apprentices of the Missionary Training Program also participated. Sixty four people were enrolled and given the first lesson of the WBS course. Brother Robin Baquiran serves as personal evangelist for the A-Hill church.
Groundbreaking ceremony for a new building of the Rabon Bible College was done recently. This new multi-purpose building will be located near the boundary of San Fabian, Pangasinan and Rosario, La Union on a hill overlooking picturesque Lingayen Gulf.
The Midtown congregation that meets along Marcos Highway in Baguio City invited brother Ken Wilkey to give a lecture on church growth. This was done last Monday, April 21st. Brethren in the Baguio and La Trinidad area attended this event.
The annual National Ladies Retreat is held in Butuan City, Agusan del Norte from April 24-27. The congregation at Bonbon district is the host of this year’s affair.
A group in northern Luzon concerned with the spiritual growth of brethren who speak Iloco have banded together to publish a quarterly dedicated to evangelism, edification and clarification of doctrinal issues. The steering committee is composed of the following: Jovencio Gundayao, Nic Graneta, Roger Nonog, Ephraim de Castro, Rolly Nonog, Sam Nisperos, Trifon Lachica, Adolfo Braga II, Samuel Serideo, Mar Carbonel, Melchor Ducusin, Edmund Bacani and Eusebio Tanicala.
Eusebio Tanicala is editor, Roger Nonog is the managing editor and Jovencio Gundayao is the finance officer. The first issue is expected to come out in May.
Brother Gabriel Valdez and his family have recently moved from Cotabato to Agusan del Norte. They started a new ministry in the town of Buenavista. The work is doing well.
Brethren Dionisio Subagan and Roland Lazo report about the obedience of four souls in Santa Marcela, Apayao on the 20th of April. This group has a concrete chapel built on a lot donated by a family in the Lord’s church.
